Lakeview.
The Brief:
To create an intelligent online portal for Lakeview, their customers and >5,000 software users.

Solution Required: Lakeview Ltd. provide a sophisticated accounts & ERP software package similar to those produced by Sage and SAP. They have over 800 clients and more than 5000 users throughout the UK. The company required an online system to accomplish the following;
  1. Provide an additional level of communication with customers and the entire user community.

  2. Intelligently communicate tailored announcements to the desktop of each individual client and user, including;
            a. Relevant product announcements
            b. New services and software – tailored
                to  each user.
            c. Professional Services & training             courses.
           d. Help files, latest news.
  3. Provide a comprehensive bank of information about Lakeview software and services - a ‘Knowledge Base’
Lakeview needed each of the >5000 users in the UK to be sent notifications – directly to their desktop - of information that was relevant to them. Therefore if they were spending time in a ‘Help File’ in the KnowldgeBase, the system would recognise this and sent them tailored alerts of the next training course on that subject. This effectively meant the online resource had to be ‘intelligent’ and communicate directly with software on each user’s PC around the UK

The system also needed to recognise which software modules the client had purchased for their users, and offer additional services to help them make the most of these modules. Cleverly, the system also needed to deliver information on other available software - that hadn’t as yet been purchased – and start to show how this could be used to improve the users’ workflow.

Aspire Creative worked with Lakeview to build this functionality into what was named the ‘Customer Zone’ - and it has become a system that is one of it’s kind in the UK. The end result was a valuable sales resource - that generated substantial new sales leads, and indeed sales for the company. It also greatly improved the way in which customers and users could communicate with Lakeview - helping Lakeview develop even closer relationships with their customers.

The Customer Zone is a fantastic example of how online technology can be used to improve business processes and how we can ensure customers are fully up to speed with a product.
