Solution: Design & Large Format Graphics

The new O2 Arena has just been officially opened and Aspire Creative is delighted to have played a part in the refit of this major new UK attraction.

Don your mullets - US rockers Bon Jovi have been confirmed as the first music act to play at the O2 - the concert venue developed from the Millennium Dome in London. The band will play their only UK show of the year there on 24 June. The concert will follow the release of their new album Lost Highway on 11 June and will precede the single (You Want To) Make a Memory.

The 23,000 capacity arena will then host concerts by Justin Timberlake, the Scissor Sisters and the Rolling Stones. The acoustics have been designed specifically for modern musicians and every seat will have a clear view – hopefully we’ll be there soon to see for ourselves. .

The arena has undergone a £600m refit after years of speculation and argument over its future use. Aspire have completed a major refit of the Indigo club, a 2,350 capacity venue designed as a showcase for emerging talent as well as a more intimate venue for established acts within the re-born Millennium Dome.

It will also host sporting events such as ice hockey and has already been chosen as the venue for gymnastics and basketball at the 2012 Olympic Games.
